Heil® MultiPack® Automated Side Loader Standard Features
The patented automated Python arm can reach up to nine feet. Able to lift up to up to 800 pounds, the Python arm features cushioned cylinders for smooth action, saving wear and tear on both the lift arm and the chassis. The Python arm’s unique lift geometry enables the arm to consistently return carts with the lids closed.
The Heil Operate-in-Gear-at-Idle System comes standard on the MultiPack. It is designed to help you finish routes up to 20% faster, saving up to one gallon of fuel per hour while reducing wear on the lift assembly, chassis, engine, and transmission. Plus, it greatly reduces noise — a benefit to operators and customers alike, especially in residential neighborhoods.
Our Service Smart design simplifies routine maintenance, keeping your truck away from the shop and out servicing your customers, making money. The side door provides easy access for common maintenance tasks.
The DuraPack body features a flat, abrasion-resistant steel floor, which eliminates the messy job of cleaning trash buildup out of dirty troughs.
The generous 3.94 cubic yard tailgate hopper can accommodate large items with ease, and requires less cycling on the route.
Our exclusive fully welded, interlaced subframe provides exceptional longevity, while resisting abrasion, corrosion, and salt damage. The body is constructed of 7-8 ga. high tensile strength steel, while the tailgate hopper features 5⁄16″ thick AR400 steel on the floor and 3⁄16″ thick AR400 steel on the sides for superior strength and durability.
The convenient one-handed manual controls located on the tailgate stop, start, or reverse the upper panel or sweep panel at any point in the packing cycle.
Reliable, ergonomic joystick controls deliver smoother performance and enhanced usability. With the AutoLoad system, the operator can reach, grab, lift, dump, and return the arm to the stowed position using only the joystick and two buttons.
The Heil DuraMount Design, used to mount the lift to the chassis frame, reduces the potential for bolt fatigue and provides Service Smart bolt access for easy maintenance.
Made from specially formulated high-strength alloy steel, the Python lift arm’s superior hardened grabber gears virtually eliminate gear wear. The gears are splined to the grabber shafts and can be cycled up to 1,000,000 times with little evidence of wear.
The MultiPack is the one refuse collection vehicle that can single-handedly run rear loader routes. With an optional rear loader commercial package, it can easily handle commercial containers as well.

The Heil Linkage Packing System is a proven performer. It has no rollers, slides, or slide shoes to wear out. The optimized geometry allows smaller, lighter cylinders to obtain the same packing power and payloads that usually require larger, heavier, and more expensive cylinders.
